Though the Dallas Cowboys had until 11:59 pm on February 28 to work out a deal to keep LT Flozell Adams in Dallas they didn't need that long, coming to terms with the veteran on a deal that could keep him wearing a star on his helmet for the rest of his career.

The Rams have released WR Isaac Bruce. The Rams wanted Bruce to take a paycut and he refused. Expect the 49ers to be one of the first teams to contact Bruce. He could be an instant starter alongside WR Darrell Jackson. But it remains to be seen where his fantasy value ends up.

The San Diego Chargers have released veteran FB Lorenzo Neal, allowing him to become an unrestriced free agent, according to the team's official website.

The St. Louis Rams continued to make roster moves Thursday, releasing QB Gus Frerotte to avoid paying him a $500,000 roster bonus.

The Saints have traded a conditional pick to the Jets for LB Jonathan Vilma. Vilma is coming off of a major knee surgery, so the pick depends on how well Vilma plays this season. If Vilma comes back healthy, his IDP stock could start to go back up playing in a 4-3 defense.

The Vikings and S Madieu Williams have agreed to an undisclosed, multi-year deal. The deal is said to be better than the six-year, $31.8 million contract S Deon Grant got from the Seahawks last year. Grant's deal included $11.1 million in guarantees. Williams will help a secondary that was horrid against the pass last year and could garner IDP value if he can remain healthy.

LB Tedy Bruschi will put off retirement and play with the Patriots in 2008. A deal is expected to be announced sometime Friday. This will be Bruschi's 13th-year in the league, but not a great year to draft him in IDP leagues.

The Browns and QB Derek Anderson have reportedly agreed on a new multi-year contract. Terms are not out yet, but Browns fans can breathe a little bit easier knowing that they are one step closer to having Anderson in a Browns uniform for the 2008 season. Fantasy owners can count on Anderson being drafted as a QB1 in almost all fantasy leagues this summer.

The 49ers and RB DeShaun Foster have agreed on a two-year deal, reportedly worth $1.8 million. The fact that Foster didn't sign a big contract means there is a chance he will have to battle with RB Michael Robinson for the backup job behind RB Frank Gore. If Foster wins the job, make sure you pick him up as the handcuff if you end up drafting Gore in the first-round of your draft.
