Panthers' Pro Bowl DT Kris Jenkins was not on the field Wednesday morning as the Panthers began voluntary offseason workouts. Jenkins was on hand during the mandatory minicamp in early May. Apparently, Jenkins is on the trading block so the no show is not a big surprise.

The New England Patriots on Wednesday re-signed restricted free agent CB Randall Gay. The team did not disclose the terms of the contract. If Gay can stay healthy, he will be a major player for the Pats but hold off on IDP expectations.

Broncos' WR David Kircus says he's certain he'll be cleared of an assault charge stemming from a fight that landed him in jail and a 26-year-old man in the hospital. Kircus is not a fantasy factor so don't bother drafting him.

Broncos' OT Matt Lepsis, coming off major knee surgery, took the field for the first time in more than seven months Tuesday at the opening day of Denver's team camp. The Broncos missed Lepsis last season and RB Travis Henry should benefit from his return.

One ray of hope for Chiefs' QB Trent Green and his desire for a trade to the Dolphins is the salary cap rule changes on June 2. A year ago, the league and the NFLPA changed rules involving trades. Dolphins' QB Cleo Lemon signed his one-year, $1.3 million tender offer with the team on Tuesday. He was Miami's last restricted free agent to sign his tender. Although Lemon is working with the first team, I don't expect him to start in '07. Look for QBs Trent Green or Daunte Culpepper to be the man for the Dolphins.
