RB Larry Johnson's foot a little sore on Wednesday

OPINION: According to KCChiefs.com, Chiefs RB Larry Johnson (foot) was very limited today in practice and was a little sore. When asked if L.J. would play in Week 16, heach coach Herm Edwards had this to say: "I've got to see where that's at, but he's just limited right now. I'd say that he's questionable, probably." Edwards wouldn't call the soreness a setback, but much is still to be determined. "I don't know if that was a setback, we'll just find out tomorrow and the next day," Edwards said. FANTASY: No one better be counting on L.J. in Week 16. Even if, by some miracle, he plays this weekend, he would surely be limited. Kolby Smith is a solid RB2 and a very solid flex-option in Week 16 against the Lions. Not sure if Kolby Smith should be starting for you in Week 16? OPINION: According to Nola.com, Saints RB Reggie Bush was back at practice on Wednesday after sitting out the last two games with a torn PCL in his left knee, but the runner was limited and obviously not close to 100% healthy. "It felt pretty good; we'll see how it goes and make a decision when the time comes," Bush said about his injured knee. FANTASY: If Bush were to give it a go in Week 16, it would likely be a last second decision. So if you can't sit by news wires on Sunday morning, you better leave Bush out of your line-up. We doubt he plays, but that is just a guess at this point.

OPINION: According to KCChiefs.com, Chiefs RB Larry Johnson (foot) is listed as questionable for Week 16, which is an upgrade from his traditional "out" status. "He will not play this following weekend, I can assure you of that," Polian reportedly said in a radio interview. "His knee has healed, it's a matter of conditioning now, and until we can put him out there for 60 plays a game, he won't play." If there's no meaning to the Green Bay game there's no reason of going out there and tearing the PCL completely. If playoffs are on the line, I'll put myself on the line too," Williams said. RB Ron Dayne: Ahman Green to see Dr. James Andrews

OPINION: According to reports, Texans RB Ahman Green will have his knee looked at by the famous Dr. James Andrews during the team's Week 10 bye. FANTASY: Green's knee is expected to bother him for the remainder of the season - We wouldn't be shocked at all if Green ends up having surgery on the knee. Now, that is pure speculation by us here at OPINION, but either way, expect Ron Dayne to get most of the carries from here on out. Dayne is all of the sudden starting to look like a decent flex-option looking forward (remember the Texans have a bye this week, though). He played great in Week 9, rushing the football 21 times for 122 yards and a touchdown.

RB Larry Johnson (foot) out for the season

OPINION: MyFox 31 in Denver is reporting that Chiefs RB Larry Johnson has suffered a broken bone in his foot and will miss the remainder of the 2007 season. FANTASY: Ouch. Clayton also believes that Jordan is "probably going to be released or traded next March." FANTASY: We don't get this at all. Jordan was playing some solid football to start the season. His back injury slowed him, no doubt, but why he is NOT being give more of a chance to keep his job is beyond us. Getting cut might be a good thing for Jordan owners - This way he can land with a better team. Let's just hope that he gets a shot to start with a team next season, otherwise, fantasy football will be without a solid fantasy athlete.

Deuce McAllister (RB - New Orleans)

McAllister sat out Wednesday's practice to rest his sore right knee and injured left eye. He said he'll be fine for Monday night's game against Tennessee, but Coach Sean Payton decided to give him a day off as the Saints had an extra day of practice this week. McAllister injured his eye Sunday against Tampa Bay. First, he bruised the bone around the eye when his helmet came loose and slid down during a play. Later, he also got poked in the eye. McAllister had a CT scan and an MRI performed on the eye this week to make sure the damage wasn't too serious.

Fantasy Impact:

McAllister has been off to a slow start this year, with just 20 carries for 87 yards and no touchdowns. His 4.2 yards per carry is a solid number, but he did lose a critical fumble early in the Saints' loss at Tampa Bay. And the Saints haven't been able to run the ball much in the second half of their games because they've been trailing by so much.

Kevin Jones (RB - Detroit)

Jones gave his injured left foot a hard workout in practice Wednesday. If he doesn't have a setback today or Friday, Jones expects to play for the Lions in Sunday's game at Philadelphia. Wednesday's practice was the most strenuous for Jones since being put on the active roster at the end of the exhibition season. "I practiced hard," Jones said. "I tried to go all out, and it felt good. We're going to see -- towards the end of the week, see how it feels. I'm optimistic."

Fantasy Impact:

Jones blossomed as a receiver last year, catching 61 passes, the most in his three pro seasons. His presence would add depth and receiving ability to the back field but don't expect too much from him this week.

Andre Johnson (WR - Houston)

Johnson ruled out playing against Indianapolis this week as he recovers from a sprained knee. Asked Wednesday if there was any chance he could play against the Colts, Johnson said: "No. I mean as it looks right now, you look at me right now, no I wouldn't be out there on Sunday." Johnson, who wore a large brace on his injured left knee Wednesday, said he is unsure of when he can return but didn't rule out next week's game. "I'm taking it day-by-day, week-by-week, and doing everything I can to strengthen my leg so I can be back," he said. An MRI Monday revealed no damage that would require surgery. Coach Gary Kubiak listed Johnson's official status for Sunday as doubtful.

Fantasy Impact:

Johnson sprained his knee during the fourth quarter of the Texans 34-21 win over the Panthers on Sunday. He fell awkwardly on the knee after a 10-yard catch and remained on the turf for several minutes. He walked off the field on his own but was limping on the sideline. Jacoby Jones, who has two catches for 33 yards, will probably start in Johnson's place.

Week 3 start’em/Sit’em

START 'EM

QUARTERBACK

Jake Delhomme
Panthers at Falcons: Bouncing back from a shaky 2006, he's thrown for three TDs in each of his first two games. Don't be impressed by Atlanta's solid stats against the pass; this year the Falcons have only faced fantasy lightweights David Garrard and Tarvaris Jackson.

Derek Anderson
Browns at Raiders: Brady Quinn will watch in a baseball cap as the unheralded Anderson follows up his five-TD performance in Week 2. The third-year player will challenge an Oakland defense that allowed 558 passing yards in the first two weeks.

RUNNING BACK

Cadillac Williams
Buccaneers vs. Rams: He's averaging just 3.4 yards, but Tampa's air attack is getting him goal line carries, and the St. Louis run D is lousy.

LaMont Jordan
Raiders vs. Browns: Jordan has run for 100 yards in both starts against Cleveland -- whose defense has allowed 100-yard runners in both games this year.

Ahman Green
Texans vs. Colts: The fragile 30-year-old's 71-yard day against Carolina was abbreviated to keep him fresh for this division game.

WIDE RECEIVER

Hines Ward
Steelers vs. 49ers: Quiet in last week's blowout of the Bills (five catches, 55 yards), Ward tends to play big against better competition. The 2–0 Niners allowed 368 passing yards in St. Louis.

Marques Colston
Saints vs. Titans: Colston's late TD against the Bucs in Week 2 was a good omen for winless New Orleans as it heads into what will be a charged home opener on Monday night.

Deion Branch Seahawks vs. Bengals: Branch and his fellow Seattle receivers will be licking their chops after watching film of Cincinnati's hapless defensive effort against the Browns.

TIGHT END

Dallas Clark
Colts at Texans: He has caught Peyton Manning's eye this year (nine receptions in two games), and, more important, he has a good track record against Houston. Clark has four touchdowns in five games against the Texans; he also had one of his three career 100-yard games against them.

KICKER

Shayne Graham
Bengals at Seahawks: No need to worry about his hip, which he proved is healthy seven times in Cleveland. Even if they're one at a time, the points will come against Seattle.

DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS

Vikings at Chiefs: The Vikes will feast on whichever QB K.C. offers up, and also on a Chiefs coverage unit that surrendered two special teams TDs (one negated by penalty) to Chicago last week.

SIT 'EM

QUARTERBACK

Tony Romo Cowboys at Bears: He threw for 531 yards and six touchdowns in the first two weeks -- but as a backup on many fantasy teams, his points were left on the bench. This isn't the week to play Romo, however. Chicago's defense, despite losing some starters, has allowed two passing TDs, intercepted two passes and had seven sacks.

Matt Leinart
Cardinals at Ravens: He has thrown for 203 yards or fewer in six of seven career road games, and he has no multi-TD games away from Arizona. Since 2005, Baltimore has allowed 300 passing yards twice -- to Drew Brees and Carson Palmer.

RUNNING BACK

Marshawn Lynch
Bills at Patriots: Just look at what the rookie's predecessor in Buffalo, Willis McGahee, did in five starts against the Pats: 61 yards per game and zero TDs.

Travis Henry
Broncos vs. Jaguars: Jacksonville's run stuffers held Atlanta to 82 yards. Also, Cecil Sapp and Selvin Young are suddenly in Denver's backfield mix.

Marion Barber
Cowboys at Bears: Chicago limited LT and LJ to a combined 2.4-yard average. Barber isn't in their class—and he shares carries.

WIDE RECEIVER

Plaxico Burress
Giants at Redskins: A bright spot for sputtering New York, Burress has four TDs through two games -- but the Skins tend to give him trouble (four games, 177 yards, one TD).

Lee Evans
Bills at Patriots: After 1,292 receiving yards in '06, he has only 22 yards through two games in '07. Facing New England won't help -- whether the Pats know Buffalo's play calls or not.

James Jones
Packers vs. Chargers: The rookie had four grabs for 75 yards against a porous Giants D. He'll have a harder time against the Bolts, whose pass rush should keep Brett Favre on the run.

TIGHT END

Vernon Davis
49ers at Steelers: Having seen the Rams struggle to take down Davis in a highlight-reel play last week, one might be tempted to start him. But despite facing heavy pressure in Weeks 1 and 2, Alex Smith has completed only two passes per game to his TE. Don't lean on Davis until his QB does.

KICKER

Sebastian Janikowski
Raiders vs. Browns: It's not just that he's 1 for 5 on field goals this year; it's also that he's often missing by egregious margins. Wait for his ego to recover.

DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS

Raiders vs. Browns: If Jamal Lewis and Derek Anderson can show the same spark they did against Cincy, Oakland's opportunistic unit (a TD and a safety against Denver) will get a rude surprise.

ALSO SIT

QB Jay Cutler
Broncos, QB Alex Smith
49ers, RB Fred Taylor
Jaguars, RB Derrick Ward
Giants, WR Chris Chambers
Dolphins.
